The Porto Elounda Deluxe Resort is built on the seafront, on a plot of 110,000 m² with a 150 meter long private sandy beach. The view from the Main Building, the Villas and Bungalows over Mirabello Bay and the distant mountains, is magnificent. The rooms and suites in the main building have all been renovated in 2003/2004, providing excellent accommodation with large balconies or terraces. The public areas are decorated with antique and contemporary furniture and rugs. Porto Elounda is also the sole Greek resort that includes an Executive nine-hole Golf Course and a Golf Academy.
Staying at Porto Elounda is a delight of traditional Cretan architecture and interior design. The typical whitewashed surfaces bind harmoniously with the brown and gray rock walls, the local carob and olive trees. The decoration is exclusively antique pieces of folk-art: carpets, chests, tapestries, mantelpieces with fine Cretan marble throughout the Halls and Salons.
Some Rooms have direct access from their balconies to the large oblong pools. Right on the seafront are the Bungalows with direct access to the sandy beach or platforms on the rocks and there even is a Grande Suite with its own private beach, outdoor pool and garden, indoor pool and more.

The spacious seafront bungalows are mainly split-level with a comfortable sitting area. These bungalows provide immediate access to the sea.

The private-pool villas have either one, two or three bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom. They feature a spacious living room, an indoor as well as an outdoor dining area in its own garden with a seawater swimming pool. The villas provide the sense of a private holiday home, with all the benefits of a luxury resort. The villa “Samos” offers a heightened degree of luxury, with direct access to the private beach, luxurious marble bathrooms with air-bath tubs and CD/DVD player.

Behind the “Blue Flag”-awarded long sandy private beach, featuring sundecks and waiter service, lies "Playiada". Inspired by a Greek village square and covered by a robust wooden pergola, it is the ideal location for taking shade during the day and for theme festivities in the evening. Golf
For golfers, the Resort offers a private nine-hole par-3 golf course, available to the resort’s guests only. Creatively designed with multiple tees, guests may choose to play the course as an 18-hole, as each hole has two playing options of varying difficulty. With numerous trees and pot bunkers, each hole has its own individual character, with the distance between tees and greens ranging from 60m to 160m. Additionally, the complex has practice nets, a practice bunker and a 9-hole putting green. The PGA, who runs the Golf Academy and is fluent in English, organizes private tuition for golfers at all levels. The Pro Shop sells or rents all necessary equipment.

Water sports
Next to the beach and the freshwater swimming pool with children’s paddling pool, set within the shelter of the bay, is the sea sports center. Supervised by experienced coaches, a variety of exciting services are available, including jet-skis, windsurfing, water-skiing, and laser craft rental. Luxury yachts are also available for charter, with a range of excursions or tailor-made itineraries offered. The PADI certified scuba diving center teaches and awards diplomas up to the highest levels of proficiency. The crystal clear waters and rock formations of the bay, home to fascinating flora and fauna, are considered amongst the finest to be found in Greece.
